Mayoff Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Quality software takes time to write. Please look for an exciting Dantz announcement at Macworld SF.
mbizer Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Will there be another major upgrade fee for this, just as from 5.0-->5.1?

It'd be good to know. I just got (well, OK, I'm going to get for Christmas/Hanukkah) a Pioneer DVR-A06 IDE which I'm going to install in my G4/867. I'm backing up now using Retrospect 5.0 onto CD-R, and I'm happy to upgrade to 5.1 which supports the A06, but I don't want to purchase the upgrade only to learn ten days later that there's a new, paid upgrade that fully supports Panther. So I guess I'll hold off installing the A06 until after MWSF -- need to keep performing those backups!
Mayoff Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Dantz now offers annual support and maintenance programs at a low price which provides users with unlimited technical support (with an 800#) as well as upgrades to any new releases. It is actually a really good deal.
Steve3 Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 A better deal is having software that rarely requires contacting tech suport. Call me a dreamer, but I don't think that's unrealistic.
