NT Backup can perform the backup OK, but this keeps failing. - 29/06/2006 8:24:24 PM: Copying master Backup type: Full MapError: unknown Windows error -2,139,684,859 File "master": can't read, error -1004 (Database Backup/Restore error) 29/06/2006 8:24:26 PM: Comparing master 29/06/2006 8:24:26 PM: 1 execution errors Duration: 00:00:02 Any thoughts or suggestions much appreciated!

davidcolville Posted July 5, 2006 Author Report Posted July 5, 2006 Hi, It's Windows 2003 Server SP1 SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3 The Exchange Agent, and regular backups are running OK, just the SQL Agent is giving problems. Thanks very much David

davidcolville Posted July 11, 2006 Author Report Posted July 11, 2006 Afraid there are no logs to speak of - I can see our regular scheduled SQL backup to another location occurring at 3am, but nothing more than that when the Retrospect passes over the databases?
