See this thread Pevious Post Now I get a email say that Dantz would like to let me know that they have written 6.5 and I can spend another $700.00 so I can have the honor of using there software. I'm in similar situation where I own the software (all the addons) for two months and have to pay $800 (Disaster Recovery + Retrospect) to get the 6.5 version! There's a hidden cost to own retrospect backup that is $1000 per year - for upgrades. So the 3 year cost for my bundle is suddenly $3000+$1000+$1000 = $5000. Mayoff Posted May 8, 2003 Report Share Posted May 8, 2003 This is not accurate. 1) If you owned Disaster Recovery and Open File Backup before, then it is grandfathered into your upgrade at no added cost. 2) Dantz now offers a Support and Maintenance option that will include unlimited tech support and upgrades for a full year.
