PHP_User
Hello all, On one of my weekly backups (for all my Exchange mailboxes) I started getting this error: "T-9: transaction terminated by PDS exception" I have switched to my other Recycle tape and I am still getting the same error and I get it on all mailboxes. My other backups are running fine, and I have never had this error before. I did a search on PDS exception, and the only thing even close to my error talked about a corrupt mailbox. This cannot be the case here, since I get it on all mailboxes and all the Email accounts work fine. Any one seen this error before? Thanks, Don
Mayoff
Do you have a red arrow in the left margin next to the error? If not, then this is debug logging you can ignore.
PHP_User
Yes there is, see the error below (I indicated where the red arrow is). - 6/5/2009 9:01:51 PM: Copying Info on wormhole T-9: main: transaction terminated by PDS exception (Red arrow pointing to the right is here) Scanning incomplete, error -523 (service transaction error) What does this mean in Retrospect? Thanks, Don
Mayoff
It is a network communication error between the client and backup computer.
PHP_User
OK. then I am lead to believe its a Retrospect Client communication issue. Since both machines are on the same Gig switch and a ping to the client returns a TTL of 128. I can remote desktop from each machine to the other with no issues. And the network and Servers setups have not changed (I am the network and Server tech for these machines, and only I can make any changes). Ideas. Thanks, Don {edit} Also, the machine with Exchange (which is the Client machine giving these errors, also has 2 other backups I run (for all the users Docs and Settings) and an Apache, PHP, MySQL and other directory backups) with no errors.
