Ken Bernstein
I have Retrospect Express 6.5 and wanted to make a disaster recovery CD. I had to download a "freeware" program, BurnCDCC, since apparently consumer disk burning programs like Nero Express and Roxio Easy Media Creator do not have the ability to accomplish this. Don't you think it would be helpful for Dantz to include a program such as burncdcc.exe with their distribution of Retrospect? Thanks, --Ken
nekr0phage
In order for EMC to bundle an external application with Retrospect there would be a gauntlet of licensing hoops they would need to jump through. When many users already have applications which can facilitate this function, and others can easily obtain freeware to accomplish the task, it seems unnecessary for them to put forth the resources that would be required. For future reference, and for others who may come by this post, DeepBurner is a simple program which provides the ability to burn iso's in the free version of their product. You can download directly from their site, here: http://www.deepburner.com/
jackschmidt
True, but at the same time, how difficult would it be for them to right a plugin that would burn ISO files? I've written one myself. Peace of cake, especially for EMC engineers who write backup software.
