gblank
I have made an automated script to make a duplicate of a server volume to an external firewire disk. Retrospect makes a full backup of the all the files instead of only the changed files. Backup of 14 gb (complete volume) On other machines with the same settings in the script Retrospect only writes the changed files. backups only the changed files app. 1 gb a day. What am I doing wrong here. I can't see any difference in the setup of the scripts but they both give different results. Both setups Mac OSX server 10.4 with retrospect workgroup 6.1 Thanks in advance
nekr0phage
Hi, Retrospect will copy files again if ANYTHING about them has changed. It could simply be an update to the modifcation date on those files caused by a virus scanner or similar software.

gblank
Thanks for your posts There is no virus scanner active. the date of the files is not changed and the filesystem of both hd's are hfs+.
