mbennett
It seems unlikely to me. https://www.retrospect.com/en/press/2023/06/27/ceo_letter
x509
True enough, but what else would the new CEO say? He's speaking to the (demoralized) employees and (discouraged) resellers as much as to the end users. Not to be a pessimist, but I place more stock in what the investors say or don't say. You can be sure the reporter asked this question and didn't get a clear answer back.
Mayoff
Retrospect is absolutely going to be around. The product is being developed, sold and supported by the same people that have been working on the product for 20+ years. Almost 30 years in my case. The reseller network is still the same and still processing orders the same way it always has. We have been releasing new versions and have a new version probably coming out later this month. If you have any concerns, you can always call us and we will answer your questions. You can also email us, as always.
