MIKEMCENROE
I have retrospect Multiserver 6.5.350 backing up an exchange server over the network, i want to restore a mailbox that the user has deleted , i can choose a mailbox to restore but i cannot choose a destination to restore it to, retrospect says "the destination must be a mailbox" but i cannot select anywhere to restore it to, the OK box always stayed greyed out, any ideas? nembot
Hi, Did you try recreating all the exchange server? Create a new mailbox and restore to that mailbox. Thanks.
MIKEMCENROE
I am backing up to disk over the network, all i want to do is restore a couple of messages, surely it is possible, or do i have to restore to a local drive?
natew
Hi Exchange items (messages, mailboxes, databases) can only be restored to exchange servers. They cannot be restored as regular files on a disk. The Retrospect users guide has a good step by step restore section for Exchange. Thanks Nate
