Mayoff
What version of exchange is this? What version of Retrospect? What was the state of the exchange server before the restore? Is this a restore over the network or to a local exchange server? Make sure you review this doc: http://kb.dantz.com/article.asp?article=7926&p=

Case number 1-7873716 The steps i took to be able to do the restore where, 1st. I renamed the MDBDATa directory and created a new one. I then rebooted the server. I was then able to launch Exchange with a new information store. I did a backup of this store before i restored my backup from friday.
