zingpr Posted August 3, 2004 Report Share Posted August 3, 2004 I have an OS9 machine running 5.1.177. It has always been able to backup by 2 OSX PowerBooks flawlessly. Until I recently replaced my older Airport base station and installed the new Airport Express base station and remote second Airport Express (for AirTunes). It seemed to me that, directly after the install, the server could see the clients. But now it can’t. Neither machine has the OSX firewall running, though I did add the Retrospect port 427 just in case (saw that from an earlier post). But the server can see both machines in Chooser. Both clients are running static IP addressing, no NAT, no DHCP from airport. So now I’m out of ideas… Thanks, Tim Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
natew Posted August 4, 2004 Report Share Posted August 4, 2004 Hi The Retrospect port is 497 not 427, you might want to double check that. Some recent updates to airport have caused a number of problems with network connectivity in general. You might want to make sure you have the latest version installed.
