tsdowney
I just installed a 6.5 client on a brand new HP laptop running Windows XP home. Every afternoon the client wakes up and sucks up all the CPU cycles; I have to use task manager to kill it. When this happens, the server doesn't seem to be doing anything at all (nothing showing in activity monitor and nothing in the log). The server does automated backups at night and those work fine on the laptop. Other machines on the network don't have this problem. Any thoughts on what might be going on? AmyJ
What build of 6.5 do you have installed? Open the client to see the full build number - it will be 6.5.xxx (or get Properties on the client at the backup server Configure > Clients). Make sure you have 6.5.136. http://www.dantz.com/en/support/updates.dtml

tsdowney
This problem hasn't reoccurred after updating the client to 6.5.136. Not sure what bug fix cured this, but life is happier now. Thanks, Tom
