I know the ways to do this on the local network, but how can I do this across subnets? The computers change IP addresses almost every day. Another forum siad to do a subnet broadcast. IrenaS Posted April 25, 2002 Report Share Posted April 25, 2002 Here's an excerpt from the User's Guide that details how to set this up: With the clients on network window active (go to Configure > Clients > Network), choose Configure Subnet Broadcast from the TCP/IP menu. Click Add to configure a new subnet to search. Enter an IP address within the subnet and enter its subnet mask. You can later modify or remove configurations if you need to. Each subnet you configure will be searched for clients by Retrospect when it searches for clients. This includes not only when the clients on network window is open, but also when Retrospect searches for a client in an operation.
