wnewman
I run 6.5 Pro on a W200K system to a local Firewire drive. I want to do an additional backup set to a large file server on our network. Pro will not recognize it even though it is mapped and I can see it in Windows Explorer. I followed the instructions on Article 26668 (Tips for backing up to file servers). I go to "Backup", select my volumes to backup, and set the storage type to "disk". I cannot get past this point as I can't set the network drive, which is a hidden share. I was told by customer service that I should be able to do this.
natew
Hi Retropect does not recognize mapped drives. You have to be able to browse to the share in My network in order to use it. Thanks Nate
wnewman
Ok. I can try to configure the volume, I get as far as it asking for username and password, but says it can't connect. Ideas?
