doug_archell
Hi Folks, For some reason I am encountering long delays when I try to exit from Restrospect back to the main desktop. If I launch restrospect and then try to exit, the 'quitting' process can take 15 minutes or longer - even if I haven't done anything. I'm running on Windows XP Pro, all the latest patches. Plenty of memory (768MB) and about 50GB free. Using Retrospect Professional for Windows, v 6.5.350. There's no tape drive or drivers in play here, all backups are done to a separate hard drive. Thanks. Doug.
natew
Hi Make sure to disable system restore on the external hard drive. You can do this by right clicking the my computer icon, clicking properties and opening the system restore tab. Thanks Nate
doug_archell
Hi Nate, >>Make sure to disable system restore on the external hard drive<< I'm not using any external drives. Should I still disable the system restore? Doug.
natew
Hi Sorry about that - making assumptions I shouldnt... Disable it for the drive where you are storing the backup data. Thanks Nate
