edkraft
I have a single PC using Windows XP and backing up to DVD-RW. I am using version 6.5.336 and have made several backup sets (A,B,C,D). I want to recycle my backup sets, but I can't get the program to erase a set of the earlier DVD's. I presume the next backup set will be "E" but when I insert an earlier set and give the program permission to recycle it nothing seems to happen. Can I somehow erase the earlier sets and reuse the media? What am I doing wrong or what step am I missing? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. natew
Hi Make sure to check the "automatically reuse prenamed media" preference in the media erasure preferences. Are you recycling a set or creating a new one? If you are creating a new set Retrospect will not let you erase a member of another known backup set. In other words if you want to use the disks from "set A" with "set E" you will need to delete set A in the configure->backup sets window.
