kenwood
Hi, I´m running Retrospect 5.0.238 on a G4/System 9.2.2. I´m trying to backup to a 160 GB external FW HD. When I try to backup my internal HD called "Audio" containing 39,9 Gigabyte, I get the message: execution incomplete The log file says: Not enough space for selected files About 29,0G more required But the FW HD is new and empty. Can anybody help me? Thanks, Globo
natew
Hi Make sure the external drive is formatte Mac OS Extended. Other file systems have limitations that will cause this kind of error. Nate
kenwood
Hi natew, Thank You for Your reply, the FW HD is formatted Mac OS extended. Does it make a difference, if I format it from a computer that runs Mac OS X? I´m asking because the last FW HD I used (and one that worked with Retrospect) was formatted from my "Office Mac", which runs OS X. Thanks, Globo
Petch
Hi globo I'm almost having an identical problem to you! Although I had an error -34 which states that the volume used is full when it wasn't. I've got 155GB left! Have you tried formatting your FW HD from your 'Office OS X Mac' again? Has it worked again?
