joe533
Has anyone run into this problem? I recently upgraded to OS X server v6.x. I can successfully see a Win XP client, log into it, and back it up. However I cannot log into an OS 9 client v5.x (recently updated from v4.3). The configure > clients > network > test function see the client and says it is available, but under configure > clients > network when I select the "mac OS" Type, the result is "No Backup clients found." When I try to add the client by IP, it appears that Dantz has taken out that capability that previous versions had and wants more money to get it back.....otherwise I would use the "add by IP" function that has served me well in the past. Can anyone advise what I can do to get my OS 9 client backup going again? Thanks in advance for any help.
natew
Hi Were you using this client with Appleshare in the past? Try uninstalling the client completely rebooting the machine and reinstalling the 5.1 client. Make sure that the ethernet adapter is set to use TCP/IP. Thanks Nate
