macweb
I've got an installation that worked over a year with no problems. Server 5.1 on OSX 10.2.8 backs up local disks and several clients. One client is running on OS 9.2, using the latest retro5client. Because this client holds very sensitif data, we back it up every 2 hours (7 times a day) to a file backup. 2 or 3 times a week the server hangs on the backup process and can get no data from the client. The worse is, that the following backup processes are blocked until somone gets to the server and stops the hanging backup run. I told retrospect not to hang on errors, but it doesn't help. The real problem is not that this specific run doesn't finish, but that the future plans are blocked as well. Has anybody a glue to this?
