So far, I have not been able to find any reference to error -1127 in your Knowledge Base. FYI, the computer is a Gateway 700XL, 2.4GHz, 1Mb RAM, 140Gb HD, Backup device is Maxtor 200Gb External HD via Firewire. Any more info, just ask.

Also, Retrospect appears unable to work with my DVD drive. From the beginning of the log, it appears that it works, but when it goes to "format" a DVD, it takes over an hour before I finally call the WinXP Task Manager which reports Retrospect is Not Responding.

But, the most frustrating thing is the inability to complete the Disaster Recovery CD.

Any thoughts, ideas?

Thanks,

Turner

Hi

Be sure to run a scan disk on the internal and external drives. You may also want to try creating the DR CD with a different snapshot

If that doesn't help try renaming the Retrospect preference files so that new ones are created. The preference files are stored in c:\documents and settings\all users\application data (hidden)\Retrospect\config65.dat and config65.bak

The DVD problem could be caused by other software trying to grab ahold of the device. Try disabling any other burning software and running the erase again. Can you post specifics about the make and model of your drive?

Thanks

Nate
