Any way to do incremental backups to a hard disk?

Is there any way to perform a backup to one storage set relative to the contents of another?

 

What I'd like to do is set up weekly backups to a DVD set, but have an additional incremental daily backup that goes to an extra hard disk. The hard disk backup doesn't need to be complete; it only needs to be able to recover files that have not yet made it to DVD. I know that it's possible to have a completely separate storage set for the hard disk backup, but that configuration wastes disk space because most files are duplicated between the DVD's and the hard disk.

Unfortunately this is not possible. Your only option is to maintain two full backup sets. One on disk and then one on DVD
