I am now receiving the following execution errors. I don't have the foggiest notion as to their meaning or seriousness. Norton disk doctor reports no problems. Any suggestions welcomed,

I am using Retrospect Desktop 5.0.203 running OS10.1.3, backing up to a Ecrix VXA tape drive. The backup completes and then the Execution Error window is displayed. This is the log just completed today.

I'm getting the same errors using Retrospect 4 on OS 9.1 on a Quicksilver G4. It happens every backup. The location of the files is a hidden folder at the root level of the drive with a folder name starting with boxes followed by "HFS+ Private Data." The backup seems to be fine but the comparison of the backup set fails to find those hidden files on the hard drive.

I have run Disk First Aid, Apple Hardware Test, Apple MacTest Pro, and TechTool Pro (including Optimization) without finding any errors, yet the problem persists.

I should also mention ASIP 6.3.3 is running in the background. This problem does not show up on other similar servers.

I'm pretty sure that "____HFS+ Private Data" is created by OSX. If you mount your OS 9 partition under OSX, then boot back into OS 9, you'll have that folder on all the volumes. The Finder doesn't show it, and Retrospect can't access it.

While booted in OS 9, use some utility that allows you to set the Invisible bit to make the folder visible, then delete it.
