clinthammer
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantml330/index.html We plan on purchasing the above: ML330T03 Xeon 3.06/533 FSB , 1GB RAM ECC Memory, 1x36GB NHP 10K Ultra 320 SCSI HDD,NIC 10/100/1000 Dual Processor Support 5U Form Factor One year warranty Will also two more SCSI hdd's as we plan on using an email server software called MDaemon (for 30users) on this machine. Retrospect will be used as a middle man. In short, it will backup all files from 15 Pc's and 10 MAC's to a NAS storage device on the lan. Effectively, it will not store any data on the server. Instead, on the server where retrospect is, there will be a link to a network drive (in this case the NAS storage). Data will be transferred through the server to the NAS. This will be done every night and I expect roughly 10GB of data to be transferred. Will this machine handle Retrospect fine or do we need dual processors? Thanks.
