banikuser
I inherited a problem. I've got a 400 MHz Power PC G4 I'm using as a poor man's server running OS 10.2.8. I have a SCSI2 card made by Adaptec 29160 and a Seagate STDL62401LW external DDS4 multi tape drive. I've downloaded the latest driver for the SCSI card and reinstalled Retrospect 5.0.205. When I try to backup one of my external firewire hard drives it gets about 25 megs into it and the "little gears" start spinning forever and it stalls out, never crashing. It's as if the board and device are not synchronized in their transfer rate. Does anyone have any experience with this or ideas? My head is getting sore from pounding it on the wall. natew
Hi make sure you have the 1.2 driver installed for your adaptec card. Also be sure to install Retrospect 5.0.238 it fixed a lot of problems and is required for compatibility in Jaguar. Nate
