jmchale
Hi, Running retro 6.5 on winxp; have a winxp client on a laptop. I've seen refs in the older releases about win98 suspend mode requiring a reboot before retro can see client; I see the same thing in winxp; Namely I can reboot and backup just fine, but after suspending and waking up, retro client 6.5.132 comes up with this in the status box "client networking not available or service not running" What do I need to change to be able to get retro to back it up after a resume? Thanx -jim

Thanx -jim I see the same behavior from XP and would also be interested in an answer to this question. Is there a way to get Win XP clients resuming from suspend or hibernate modes to be "noticed" by the server? Jeremy.
awnews
This has been discussed in more detail in another thread: http://forums.dantz.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=35673&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=all&vc=1 Some (hopefully temp) workarounds include downgrading to the 6.0 client, commands to restart the RC after wakeup, disabling standby capability, etc.
Mayoff
We are aware of problems with suspend mode and the client. A restart is required to get things working again. We will address this in a future client update
