finisher
Hello Hope I'm posting in the right spot. I purchased a Buslink external hard drive with retrospect 5.1 about a year ago. When I tried to do a complete back up I would get the 102 error part way into the backup. Well I just gave up. I then just dragged the files I wanted to the external drive. Recently I reformatted my HD. After reinstalling devices and other software plus some files I tried retrospect again. It worked fine and backed up about 3.8GB. A week later I tried to do an incremental backup. Before I started I closed out of everything except explorer and systray. Part way into it I got the 102 error. I rebooted and tried again. This time I get the error immediately. I switched usb cords, but that doesn't help. Any suggestions?
natew
Hi This is a well documented problem with disks that are formatted as Fat32. http://www.dantz.com/index.php3?SCREEN=kbase&ACTION=KBASE&id=27235 You can get around the problem by reformatting the disk as NTFS or upgrading to Retrospect 6.X Nate
