Trizicklo
Hello everybody! I've been using Retrospect for the past couple of months to backup all the files I design every day. I have Retrospect running under Mac OS 9.2.2 and so far it runs superb. My question to you guys is... how do I check how much space is left on my tape. Would anything get overwritten if it runs out of space? I don't think so, but I'm being precatious about it. Can any body let me know how to check this thing? You can also email me at tolsek_protocol@hotmail.com with an answer. Thank you very much for your time and help!
natew
Hi There is no way to tell how much space is left on the tape. There are just to many variables to give an accurate estimate. Retrospect can guess but it is usually way off. When a tape gets full Retrospect will simply ask you for another one. It will not overwrite anything on the tape unless you tell it to with a "recycle" backup. Nate
