soonerdn
Backup Server is Running Retrospect 4.3, OS 8.5 Everynight Retrospect backs up apx. 15 macs and 5 servers with no problem and it has been working great for sometime. However, I just purchased a new iMac running OS 9.2.2. Now everynight everything is fine until this iMac has its turn. The server freezes. No spinning icon or anything. It just freezes. I have to manually unplug the server. I tried to perform an immediate backup on this iMac but it freezes when I try and do an immediate backup on the iMac's HD. However, if I create subvolumns of every folder within the iMac's HD and select everyone of them to perform an immediate backup, it backs up with no problem. This doesn't make much since considerring everything is being backed up. Why can't I one, do the regular nightly backup and two, why does retrospect freeze when I try to perform an immediate backup of the Hard Drive. Thank you Daniel W. IrenaS
On the client, create a new extension set with only Mac OS base plus the Retrospect client and try the backup again. Are there any errors?
