bhutchins1a
Hi. I recently upgraded to Retrospect Pro 6.5.336 so I could back up clients on my home network. All computers are running either Windows XP Home or XP Professional. I have scripts for weekly incremental backups of the host and 2 clients, but the trouble is that the scripts are not running at the scheduled times. They seem to be waiting until I manually start Retrospect. I didn't have this problem with version 5.6 Desktop edition (but I wasn't backing up clients). I'm sure I'm doing something wrong with the schedule times or something but I can't figure it out with my limited brain power. Version 5.6 would launch Retrospect automatically at the scheduled time, perform the backup, and then exit...perfect. Any ideas on what I might be missing? (BTW, the network configuration has not changed except for the installation of the client software on 2 computers.) Thanks! Bob
natew
Hi Try this: In the Retrospect preferences disable the "automatically launch Retrospect" option. Then close Retrospect, restart the computer and then re-enable the option. That will reinstall the launcher service and probably fix this for you.
