awnews
Just to confirm something, I am under the impression that I can make a working Disaster Recovery CD *solely* from the backup image/set & snapshot stored during a Client backup. In my case, I'm backing up many clients to a central (harddisks) location using RMS. It's impractical to make a bunch of DR CDs in advance (other than one or two Servers) but I'm under the impression that I can make a DR CD *after the fact* (i.e. from the Retro client image even if the client PC is no longer useable/accessible). After that, it's just a matter of following the DR recovery instructions by dealing with the harddrive (reformat, replace) and installing a "stub" OS then using Retrospect to restore files over the network. natew
Hi You are correct. That is actually one of the main selling points for disaster recovery. You can create the disks at any time. Nate
