mdeiner Posted January 27, 2004 Report Share Posted January 27, 2004 This may be a dumb question/issue but if I backed up a w2k client's recycle bin using retrospect backup server on an os-x xserve machine and want to restore a folder with files that was in the recucle bin, I am able to restore but NOT open the folder or see it's contents. Folder properties indicate the restored folder DOES have the desired files but I cannot open it! Can anyone help me? Is this a permissions issue? IS it not possible to restore from a backed up recycle bin? Does the restore have to be to a specific location? Any suggestions? Are you just restoring the recycle bin or the whole computer? Have you tried a "files only" or "replace entire disk" restore to a subfolder on the client machine?
