Regularly scheduled backup says "Waiting"

I am running a 2003 terminal server. I have, in the past, successfully ran backups using Retrospect for windows version 6.5 every night with no problems. Now, for the past few nights, when I get to my server in the morning, the little red diamond is in the system tray and it says that the current script is "waiting". It will continue to wait, until I actually bring up Retrospect, when it will start. Any ideas as to why this happens or are there any fixes that you guys know of? Thanks.

Hi

 

This happens becuase something on the system is preventing Retrospect from fully launching. (master of the obvious here -sorry) Try turning off or rescheduling any automatic system updates. You can also uninstall/ Reinstall the Retrospect launcher service by unticking "enable retrospect launcher service" in the Retrospect preferences, restarting the machine and then re-enabling it.
