When I insert a DVD-RW backup set into the drive while Retrospect is not open, the Finder (OS 9.2.2) pops up a window saying the device is unreadable, and gives options to Eject or Initialize. I always Eject. It's really annoying my client! We're using an internal Pioneer DVR-106D (IDE), version 1.05 driver 5.11. Thanks, Noam Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
natew Posted December 8, 2003 Report Share Posted December 8, 2003 Hi This happens becuase the finder cannot recognize the disks created by retrospect. It is normal (however annoying).@One of the initialize options should be "reserve for Retrospect". Select that and the finder will not complain about the disk.
