RichardNK
A while back I was having some problems with our Exchange Server losing user's data, so I asked in a Msft Forum about it. A couple of people responded that I should make sure that the partition with my Exchange Data was EXCLUDED from any backup script, because backing up that partition could cause these problems. So I have excluded that drive eer since. Then today, I was reading on the Dantz site about Exchange Server Disaster Recovery, and it says there to make sure that the Exchange Data partion is INCLUDED in any backup, as without it I would not be able to recover from a disaster. So who is right here?
natew
Hi Dantz recommends that you exclude the virtual M: drive from your backup. However we strongly recommend backing up the partition on your computer that actually contains the exchange data. Nate
RichardNK
Nate, Thanks, I had forgotten that Drive M was virtual. So if all volumes except M are being backed up, I guess I'm ok, right?
