fubard Posted November 8, 2003 Report Share Posted November 8, 2003 Can anyone help me with what must be a very 'newbie' problem. I want to setup a rollong backup to 10 tapes. All that I need is to insert a tape each night and have it overwritten no matter what was on it (erased first?). I am unsure how to do this. natew Posted November 11, 2003 Report Share Posted November 11, 2003 Hi This is not recommended at all as you will have to rebuild your catalog file to do any restores. To set it up just make sure all of your backups are "recycle" backups. All of the tapes will end up having the same name so Restoring older data will be confusing but it will work.
