lynnmorrison
I am getting this error upon upgrading to 6.5 and am wondering how to fix it? Can't use Open File Backup option for Slurp (D:), error -1017 (insufficient permissions) Maybe Open File Backup relies on a service I am not running? If so, which one? Thanks, Lynn

Sancino
Hi, we seem to be having the same - 1017 error in Restrospect 6.5 Single Server for Windows. The operating system is windows 2000 server with service pack 3. Thanks Michelle
kidkodiak
Yeah, same with me... all client computers are on winXP (all patches/service packs/security hotfixes) with client installed and correctly configured. The backup dies to this same error message. Any info on countering this so as to correctly backup our software would be appreciated.
