IrenaS
For a limited time, yes! The upgrade updates the current application and includes 100 clients. This updates their 32 current clients, gives the license to back up the 8 computers that aren't covered now, PLUS 60 full additional clients. This upgrade pricing is for a limited time only though! And the 100 clients are part of the product (and therefore part of the next paid upgrade to the Server) rather than a separate 100-pack for which the upgrade will have to be paid separately? Or is this not decided yet? Just trying to spend the company's money wisely, on what looks like a great deal ... but medium term we don't even need 50 licenses, so it may not be. IrenaS
If you upgrade to the Server version now, you'll have the ability to back up as many servers as you want, and up to 100 clients total. If you ever think you'll need to add clients, this is a very good deal; suggested retail price of a 100 pack of clients is $2,249.00. 50 clients is $1,299. The $349.95 upgrade to Server means that you'll end up with 100 clients, even if you only have 10 now. It upgrades your current clients and "fills in" the difference for a total of 100. The next time you upgrade, you would pay the upgrade price for the Server product. The difference now between the Server upgrade and Workgroup upgrade is $150. If you plan to back up more than 1 client, or if you think you'll ever want to add more clients, the Server upgrade is a VERY wise choice. If you will *never* add another client, and you currently have less than 30 clients, you may want to consider just updating what you have. Let me reiterate though: a client 5-pack costs more than $150. If, in the future, you want to add 5 clients, you won't have saved anything and you'll have far less clients total. Hope that helps! pfyfe
Yes, it helps. The prospect of having to pay something like US$900 just to upgrade the 100 clients in a couple of years or so was quite alarming. Thanks.
