Newbie ?: How to create (sub)volumes on client machine

I'm evaluating 6.5 on my 5-PC LAN, all running XP. I want to create (sub)volumes on one of my client PC's, so that I can back up email and shipping data files on a nightly basis... but I can't seem to figure out how to configure or add volumes to the client for that machine, although the Help topic on the "Volumes" tab suggests that I can do so.


(All of the desired source folders are shared read-only on the LAN.)


I'm sure it's a simple thing, but I can't seem to get there. Any help?
