Hi there,

I'm looking to centralize the backup of a network which has the following components:

1 MacOS X Server

1 MacOS 9 Server

20 MacOS X Clients

5 MacOS 9 Clients

5 Windows 98 Clients

5 Windows NT Clients

5 Windows 2000 Clients

Now I'm wondering if I would be able to backup this environment (both servers and

clients) by installing Retrospect Workgroup Backup for Macintosh and a compatible

backup device on the MacOS X Server?

I know I'll have to buy add-on client packs but will this solution be able to backup

the 2 servers and the client computers?

Do I have to buy any additional client software/agent/license and install that on the

second server(MacOS 9) or the different clients, both Mac and Windows?

Thanks in advance,

You'll need Retrospect Server to back up more than 1 server. This product gives you an application to back up your 2 servers, and as many as 100 clients total. Though that's more clients than you need, you actually end up spending less on Server than you would on Workgroup + client packs.
