CandGB
I have enabled XP's Firewall and ran the "retfwset.exe" utility in the Dantz\Client folder. I checked the Settings in the Advanced tab of the LAN properties and it shows that Retrospect Client is allowed through the ICF. However, Retrospect can't talk to the client. I disabled the ICF and ran an immediate and Retrospect worked. I re-enabled ICF, ran the utility again, and attempted another immediate and Retrospect lost the client again. So it definitely seems to be the ICF. Is there something else I should do in addition to running the "retfwset.exe" utility? TIA!!
natew
Hi Make sure you have 2 entries for Retrospect in your firewall settings- allowing both UDP and TCP traffic on port 497. Have you specified an IP address for each of those rules? If not try doing so. Are you using VPN software? Nate
CandGB
Hi Nate, I only have the one entry that is created by running retfwset.exe. I will create another as you recommend. I had not tried specifying an IP but will do that also. I am not running vpn. Thank you for the reply & your suggestions! CandGB
