kj999 Posted July 31, 2003 Report Share Posted July 31, 2003 I am using Windows server 2003 and retrospect multi server 6.0, I get the following error in my operations log: Maperror: unknown Windows error -2,147,024,809 VssWEnumWriterMetadata: GatherWriterMetadata failed, winerr -2147024809, error -1001 I get one of these for every operation I make. The backup is however successful and there is no problem with the backup data. Earlier I used Windows 2000 server on the same computer without this error. natew Posted July 31, 2003 Report Share Posted July 31, 2003 Hi There is actually a huge amount of logging that goes on behind the scenes in Retrospect. Most of it gets filtered out but on occasion there is a bit of un-needed data that sneaks through. I suspect this error is that type of data.
