Guest Posted April 5, 2002 Report Share Posted April 5, 2002 This is similar to an earlier post but the difference is the datasets would be files on a hard drive. Using PC MACLAN the Macs and PCs can see each other without any problems. The idea I'm aiming for is to have the PC server continue doing the backups while allowing users on the Macs to access backed up files when they need them. Right now they have to come to me, ask me for the files and I restore them to their Macs. If they could access them directly they would save me and themselves a lot of time. If the backup sets are essentially read-only they can't mess up the backups. Any chance that this can be achieved? I assume that if so I would have to purchase the Mac version but that would be fine.
