pigtailpat
I have Retrospect Backup (the full version) version 5.5. However, I had been using it with CD-r discs which is very slow. Because I have a potential hard drive failure looming (I have a bootup drive giving me bad sectors) this made me take action so I purchased a maxtor 200 GB external hard drive that has Retrospect Express bundled with it. So, when I get the drive, should I install the retrospect express that comes with it, or simply use the 5.5 Retrospect backup (the full version)? If I use the non-express software, will I still be able to take advantage of the one button backup available on this hardware? OS is Win ME, and I intend to use the firewire connection with the drive (I don't have USB 2.0). BTW - how can I get any updates to the full retrospect 5.5? I haven't seen anything on the web site. Thanks! Pat
Mayoff
Retrospect 5.5 does not support the one touch option. You should use the version that comes with the Maxtor drive.
