Unattended script problem

I am using Retrospect Express 5.6 with Windows XP Pro with a Seagate USB tape drive. When I run a script unattended, the windows pop up but they are "empty" windows where the text is not visible. If the script should stop for a particular reason (ie tape is full), I can't see what the problem is, nor can I properly cancel the execution because I don't know which buttons to click.

Is this the way the unattended backup is supposed to run, or is there a setting I can change?
