lloydmr
I have a iMac (OS X 10.2.6) with a Firewire drive acting as a backup server for the iMac and Windows XP PC. The restore disk provided with the PC does an image restore with Norton's Ghost. The snapshot is for the entire disk on both systems. However, I cannot create a temp image of the OS to load the client. How do I get back to image of the last backup? Thanks, Mike
Mayoff
To Restore the entire disk on a Windows computer that was backed up from a Macintosh, the Windows system must be in a WinTemp directory (we can't restore system files otherwise). Because you can not install a "wintemp" directory, you will not be able to restore the operating system. If you can install Windows XP from a Microsoft install CD, then you can build a Temp directory and restore the entire disk.
