curious123 Posted May 8, 2003 Report Share Posted May 8, 2003 Using a Maxtor 5000LE USB drive and was attempting to do a full backup of a laptop drive (under Win2000, SP2. I got a 'disk full' error about 40% through a backup of the 8gb of data that was on the laptop drive. Total used = 17.9Gb Total Free = 58.3Gb Is this a FAT32 problem or something else? Are there any backup options settings that can override this problem? Mayoff Posted May 8, 2003 Report Share Posted May 8, 2003 FAT32 volumes are limited to 4GB per file Maximum. You need to use an NTFS volume as the destination with a File Backup Set.
