Brownfield
The Disaster Recovery instructions require "A Windows XP Setup CD." Can someone tell me what that is? My Dell came with a "Reinstallation CD MS Windows XP Professional." Is that it? Thanks.
AmyJ
If the CD included with your computer does not have the I386 folder (and corresponding files) required to make a Disaster Recovery CD, you may not be able to create a DR disc. You can try using the I386 folder on your computer - but in most cases, the contents of this folder are too populated to fit on a single CD (along with the other files added by Retrospect.) kaikow
To which I386 directory are you referring on the hard drive? There are two: winnt\DriverCache winnt\ServicePackFiles
lieberman
YES - That's it. (I just did it myself). You'll also need the 25-character product key. It's probably on a sticker, on the top of your Dell computer.
kaikow
If everything won't fit on a CD-ROM, is it possible to use a "bootable DVD"?
Mayoff
When building the ISO image for disaster recovery, Retrospect will always build an image small enough to fit on a CD. We don't build an ISO for a DVD.
