DerRickster
I've read all the posts related to this topic and I could not find anything relevant. I have the lastest version of Express 5.6.132 and I'm using Windows 2000. My CD Writer is Yamaha CRW-F1S with the lastest firmware version. and it is supported drive. Why is this program not recognizing my drive? It shows it in the environment tab but no driver is loaded. This is urking me off.
Mayoff
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR 5.6.132 USERS: Retrospect Driver Update 3.1.107 or later is required for the proper device inquiry recognition and to ensure data integrity with the Yamaha CRW-F1E. It is recommended to use High-Speed CD-R/RW media with this drive for the fastest performance possible at this time. While the performance of this drive maybe slower then the previous Yamaha CD-RW model, Dantz is working with Yamaha to increase performance of this drive in the future. DerRickster
Sorry....I forgot to include in my original post that I did do the update and still nothing. Mayoff I did do the 3.1.107 update. Also for the record my Yamaha is F1S (scsi) not F1E. Thanks.
Mayoff
You may need to try removing other CD burning software (like Direct CD) which could be preventing Retrospect from loading a driver. You can also try installing ASPI from the ASIPINST.exe in the Retrospect folder.
DerRickster
No other CD Burning software installed. Tried ASIPINST.exe and still nothing.
Mayoff
Try this specific RDU: ftp://ftp.dantz.com/yamaha/yamaha_rdu31.exe as noted in the hardware search engine for this device.
