JPSanborn
Is Express sensitive to file system types? More specifically, if I do a backup of an FAT32 disk, can I do a restore of that same data on a NTFS formatted disk? Thanks.
Mayoff
Yes, you can restore the data from a FAT32 disk to an NTFS disk. If you go from NTFS to FAT32 you will loose NTFS permissions.
JPSanborn
Now I'm a bit confused. My Maxtor OneTouch is NTFS and I have backed up my FAT32 "D" drive to that Maxtor drive. The "D" drive incidentally, is NOT the drive that contains my operating system. Now, I want to physically remove my FAT32 "D" drive and replace it with an larger NTFS drive that is empty. Will a restore to the new NTFS "D" drive work? Thanks
Mayoff
This should not be a problem to do.
