Total duration: 00:01:25 (00:01:23 idle/loading/preparing) Client Machine: 733 G4, running Mac OS 9.2.2, Retro 5.0.236, Host Machine: 733 G4 running Mac OS X.2.2, Retro 5.0.238 I did move the back-up set's location (everything is B/Ued to firewire drives), along with 3 others. AmyJ Posted January 28, 2003 Report Share Posted January 28, 2003 It sounds like a corrupt catalog file. Try to repair the File set in Tools > Repair. If you still see the same error, try creating a new backup set on the same drive. If the problem goes away, the original backup set is corrupt and will not be usable. If you continue to see the same problem only on backup sets on this one hard drive, time to troubleshoot the hard drive. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The best way to get answers on the Forum is to provide copious amounts of information regarding what you're doing. This works much better then asking questions without much context. For example, you might have posed the following: I am backing up an OS 9 Client machine to a File Backup set using Retrospect 5.0.238 running on Mac OS X 10.2.3. Everything was working fine until I moved the File Backup set (along with three others) to a new location on the external FireWire drive. The above scenario might lead me to ask if "Spare Backup Set A" was a separated File Backup Set. If so, you would have to move both the data file and the .cat file together to the new location (although when I just tried to recreate this scenario the error I got was "-102 (trouble communicating)") - Are you backing up other Clients to this same File Backup Set? - Anything else different about this Client/Script/Backup Set from the others that are working OK?
