elvisthecat
How can I get a mac OS10.2 client to come automatically out of sleep mode to be backed up. The older Mac OS's had an automatic wake up feater in the energy saver control panel. I can't find similar feature in OSX.2.
Mayoff
At this time Retrospect can not wake up a sleeping OS X client. Dantz is investigating the best way to add this type of feature in a future release. For now, you can find several shareware utilities on Versiontracker.com for waking up computers on the network. kennabt
Anything new with this, yet? It appears that it can wake a client, but only if HD does not go to sleep. Thanks Chris
mcswgn
If the HD isn't spun down, then the computer isn't sleeping (although the monitor may have gone to sleep). I don't think there is much that Dantz can do about this until Apple fixes the problem. It is ridiculous to include technologies like Rendezvous, file sharing, etc. and then implement an energy saver system that makes those unavailable!
